Terms & Conditions


By entering the Reunion Island Pool Club (“RiPC”) operated by Reunion Island Pty Ltd (ACN 132 259 619), each guest or visitor agrees to the conditions of entry and all health and safety requirements. Failure to comply with these conditions of entry may result in the individual or group being refused entry to RiPC, or asked to leave immediately.

1. General Purpose of these Terms and Conditions Policy

The overriding purpose of these Terms & Conditions is to provide a safe and non-threatening environment for all guests, employees and other users of RiPC and its facilities.

2. RiPC Management

For safety and security reasons, all guests accessing RiPC must:

(a) obey all signs around RiPC; and
(b) follow all reasonable requests and instructions given by RiPC management and employees.

3. General Terms of Entry

As a condition of entry, guests agree to observe RiPC rules and any signs published or displayed on our premises at any time, only swim in designated areas and to take reasonable precautions when travelling around the premises or using our facilities.

Bags and other items may be subject to inspection and guests may be searched. Persons who refuse inspections or searches may be refused entry to RiPC. Alcoholic beverages, drugs, weapons or any other substances or objects which are prohibited by law, are not permitted to be brought into RiPC. Glass and other breakables are not permitted to be brought into RiPC. Animals are not permitted to be brought into RiPC (other than legally recognised and certified assistance dogs).


Guests please be aware that for safety reasons and compliance with liquor license requirements and for the safety of patrons, we use CCTV across RiPC premises.

5. Licensed Venue

The Pool Club is a licenced premises that operates in accordance with Temporary Limited Licence 90137321 issued by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (“VCGLR”) under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 (“Act”) and the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 2009.

The Licensee is R. Watson (“Licensee”).

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) principles are maintained and enforced throughout RiPC, particularly those regulations which apply to a person who is under the age of 18 years (a “Minor”). Liquor will not be sold, supplied or served to a Minor at RiPC.

A parent or responsible guardian of 18 years of age or older (“Responsible Adult”) cannot be intoxicated while on RiPC premises, particularly when supervising a Minor. A Responsible Adult must ensure that no alcohol is consumed by or bought for the Minor while in their company. A Responsible Adult commits offences for being intoxicated or permitting consumption by a Minor while under their supervision and may be subject to subsequent penalties including prosecution under the Act and eviction from RiPC premises if they permit such an act to occur.

Appropriate signage will be displayed within RiPC premises concerning relevant restrictions concerning service to Minors.  All guests must abide by these restrictions.

Upon arrival at RIPC for a function (“event”) all Minors will be wrist-banded &/or provided a stamp on the wrist prior to entry. Security will be informed as to the location of Minors and will monitor movements and activities accordingly. A Minor’s wristband must remain on for the full duration of any event. If the wristband is removed from the Minor, the Responsible Adult will be evicted from the event. When the Responsible Adult leaves the event, the Minor must also leave the event.

6. Minors

RiPC is designed to be child and family friendly. However, please be considerate of other guests when you bring Minors. Please remember that your children are your responsibility at all times when present at RiPC so you must ensure they are not left unattended at any time.

A Minor will only be permitted to enter and remain within RiPC premises if accompanied by a Responsible Adult.

All Minors must be supervised at all times by a Responsible Adult (unless in a supervised activity). All Minors 5 years and under must be in arms’ reach supervision of a Responsible Adult (in an aquatic environment).

Minors may not remain in a pool without the supervision of a Responsible Adult.

7. General Behaviour

All guests must behave in a manner that is safe and respectful for the enjoyment and safety of other guests using RiPC. Any behaviour which is considered offensive, inappropriate or interferes with the enjoyment of other guests within RiPC will be acted upon and may result in the patron being evicted and/or banned from RiPC. For safety and security reasons, guests are not permitted to block the entrances and exits to RiPC with personal belongings.

8. Clothing, Attire and Related Matters

RiPC fosters a non-corporate atmosphere. To preserve this casual environment, guests should refrain from corporate entertaining and wearing corporate attire.
All guests are requested to shower before using the facilities of RiPC. Appropriate bathing attire, apparel and footwear is to be worn at all times.

9. Food and Beverages

Guests may only bring outside food or beverages onto RiPC premises if medically necessary.

10. No Smoking Policy

No smoking (including e-cigarettes and vapes) is allowed at any time on our premises, except in areas as designated by RiPC at various times., however, all guests are requested to respect the wishes of other guests with respect to smoking and to refrain from smoking when requested to do so.

11. Medical conditions and related matters

People with serious medical conditions, including, but not limited to, epilepsy and heart conditions, must report their condition to RiPC duty manager. In the interests of public health and safety, incontinent people must take necessary precautions before entering pools. Guests are not permitted to use the facilities of RiPC if they are affected by any drugs, alcohol or medications which may make it unsafe for them to use the facilities. Guests consent to receiving any medical treatment that RiPC’s staff may reasonably consider necessary or desirable in the event that they suffer an injury whilst at RiPC.

12. Commercial and/or business activity

No person entering RiPC shall carry out any form of commercial and/or business activity and/or enterprise within RiPC unless consent has first been obtained from RiPC management. If RiPC management provides its consent to any form of commercial and/or business activity or enterprise, the person carrying out or responsible for the commercial and/or business activity or enterprise shall ensure that they comply with the terms of the consent issued by RiPC management and provide suitable public liability covering the proposed activity, with a minimum level of $10million coverage for any one occurrence.  For the avoidance of doubt, coaching or training must not be conducted for fee or reward without the prior written permission of RiPC management.

13. Cameras/Recording Devices

To respect the privacy of all visitors, any video, camera or recording equipment is not to be used in RiPC without the prior written approval of RiPC management. RiPC reserves the right to take possession of and confiscate any mobile phone, camera, video or other recording device and any photos, videos or other recorded images used or taken while on RiPC premises.

14. Audio/Video Sound

Movies, videos, songs, internet calls, presentations and all other audio must only be played through headphones and should not be audible to any other guest present.

15. Press/Social Media

RiPC operates a strict no press policy. Guests will be held accountable if they disclose or identify any other guests who are visiting RiPC in the public domain, whether in any press or social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap Chat and on personal blogs. Guests must refrain from identifying or describing any private hire or event occurring at RiPC premises.

16. Lost or Stolen Items

We do not accept liability for any theft, loss or damage to personal property, whether in RiPC or elsewhere.

17. Risk and Injury

Guests enter RiPC and use RiPC facilities at their own risk. To the full extent permitted by law, RiPC’s operator Reunion Island Pty Ltd (ACN 132 259 619) and the Licensee do not accept liability for any injury or death to any person whilst on RiPC premises.

18. Indemnity

To the full extent permitted by law, guests release Reunion Island Pty Ltd (ACN 132 259 619) from all claims and liability in respect of, and indemnity Reunion Island Pty Ltd fully against claims or liability to any other person and expense Reunion Island Pty Ltd incurs or may incur in respect of any personal injury, death, theft, loss or damage arising from the patron’s entry into and use of RiPC and its facilities or the entry or use by Minors in their care or control.

19. Right of refusal of entry and eviction

RiPC management reserves the right to refuse entry and to evict any person at any time from RiPC at its sole discretion. The right of RiPC management and the Licensee to refuse entry to any person or to evict guests from RiPC includes, but is not limited to, all matters concerning:

(a) persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol;
(b) dangerous or unsafe behaviour;
(c) disorderly, disruptive, inappropriate or antisocial behaviour; and
(d) vandalism.

Specifically, RiPC management may refuse entry to, or evict a person from, RiPC who in the opinion of RiPC management may compromise the safety or overall enjoyment of other guests of RiPC or its facilities. A person or group refused entry to, or evicted from RiPC, has no right to a refund of any monies paid for admission to RiPC (if any) and any request of refund will be refused. RiPC management reserves the right to ban a person or group of persons from RiPC for as long as a period of time as it may deem necessary. For the avoidance of doubt, RiPC management may decide at its sole discretion to permanently ban a person from RiPC.

20. Bookings for private functions

Any booking for a private function or event on RiPC premises must be accompanied by a deposit and a completed event terms and conditions form.
